We collaborated with a local builder on the construction of a new accessible toilet block at the historic Chichester Cathedral, delivering a tailored roofing solution to meet the demands of both functionality and heritage sensitivity. As part of this flat roofing project, we installed a bespoke tapered insulation system designed to promote effective water drainage—an essential feature for ensuring the longevity and performance of any flat roof.
On top of the insulation, we applied the Bailey Atlantic single ply membrane roofing system, which was expertly hot air welded to create a seamless, weatherproof finish. This modern roofing material is well-known for its excellent durability, UV resistance and low maintenance requirements, making it ideal for public or commercial buildings where reliability is key.
The combination of high-performance materials and precise installation techniques resulted in a robust and efficient flat roofing system that not only meets current building regulations but also respects the architectural character of its surroundings. Whether viewed from ground level or above, the clean lines and subtle detailing of the membrane and insulation work together to create a visually pleasing and highly functional roof.
This project demonstrates our expertise in flat roofing, single ply membrane installation and working within heritage environments—delivering results that balance performance, compliance, and design integrity.
