Asphalt Roofing Winchester

Jones Bros Roofing last year installed over 10,000 square metres of flat roof insulation in projects around Winchester, ranging up to 3,000 square metres in size. Energy conservation is high on the agenda of all building owners, so insulation has become a more important aspect in the construction process of any type of flat roof. All new build flat roofs must comply with building regulations part L 2006 which requires 120mm of rigid insulation and we recommend the same standard when existing flat roofs are replaced.

Insulating a flat roof can be done by either the warm roof or cold roof method, a warm roof is when the insulation is laid on top of the roof base and do not require ventilation. A cold roof is when the insulation is fitted between the joists and should be ventilated to prevent a build-up of condensation.
